To mark the launch of its new Kokoro collection, Oakley donated $200,000 to the World Health Organization in support of the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The new collection, designed by Japanese artist Meguru Yamaguchi, consists of 11 performance and lifestyle eyewear styles “that represent the splendor and beauty of the human race.” Oakley explains on its website that the Japanese word Kokoro means heart, mind and spirit. With the new collection, Oakley wants to express that “the love of sport unifies athletes of all abilities in a time where the need for community is greater than ever.”
