Opening Ceremony and Hoka One One have teamed up for the first time to produce a new capsule collection. The collection includes three reissues of classic Hoka footwear products: the Bondi running shoe, the Tor Ultra Hi trail runner and the Clifton trainer. In 2002, the designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon founded Opening Ceremony as a multi-brand store on New York's Howard Street in SoHo. Their inspiration was their love of travel and the Olympic Games: each season, their store would present a curated list of designers from a new country and a home team of up-and-coming American talent. The store soon expanded to include a showroom and a private-label collection for which unconventional fashion shows were staged. Over the years, Lim and Leon have collaborated with Columbia, Vans, Reebok, Adidas Originals and several other brands, creating numerous iconic, bold designs. Additional projects with creative minds such as Spike Jonze, Terence Koh, and Chloë Sevigny earned the company respect in both the fashion and the streetwear world. The three Hoka x OC products will be launched separately from Nov. 15, 2019, to Feb. 21, 2020.
