Schoeller Textil and Osmotex have signed a production agreement for Hydro_Bot, an innovative technology for moisture management in performance and outdoor clothing. Hydro_Bot was first unveiled by Osmotex at Ispo in February. The technology relies on an active membrane that uses a small electric pulse to drive moisture away from the body. Schoeller will help Osmotex create fabric panels. In addition, the Swiss textile manufacturer will market Hydro_Bot to its clients and will assist Osmotex in supporting new client projects using the technology. Osmotex said that samples for the demo jackets for the 2018/19 season will soon be ready. According to Osmotex, the tests that have been conducted so far have shown encouraging results.
