The Hohenstein Institute, which certifies textiles for meeting national and international standards, has opened a lab in Hong Kong. Hohenstein Laboratories Hong Kong is run by Manfred Hirning, with lab operations headed up by Christopher Au. The institute said that new facility would help Hohenstein improve its service to Asian clients. It will focus on testing product performance, reactions to textile care treatments, and product composition in accordance with the Textile Labeling Act. This makes the 14th facility Hohenstein has in Asia and its 36th worldwide. It should be fully accredited early next year.
