Timezone, the German streetwear label, is teaming up with Salewa and Maloja, to market fashionable, but also functional pants for climbing and cycling, respectively. The products, which are scheduled to hit the shops in spring 2014, take advantage of the partnering companies' know-how on fitting and other functional requirements as far as the related sports are concerned. For instance, when designing climbing pants in collaboration with Salewa, the Italian brand of outerwear, footwear and equipment, the design concentrated on a fashionable denim pant, which also functioned when worn with a climbing harness. The cooperation between Timezone and Salewa is, at this point, limited to one season. Timezone is also cooperating with Maloja, the German marketer of functional sportswear for cycling, running and snow sports.
