Arc'teryx is stepping up its long-term relationships with Chamonix with the opening of its first French Arc´teryx partner store later this year. Five years ago, the Canadian technical outdoor brand chose Chamonix for its Alpine Academy. The fifth edition of the academy, which was held on June 16-19, attracted 360 participants from 21 nations, 30 international athletes and 60 mountains guides. The Arc´teryx Alpine Academy offers participants a number of workshops and seminars about alpine skills, safety and preparation, thanks to contributions from experienced alpinists, climbers and skiers. The event will again take place again in 2017.
