In October, Vaude opened two more stores in partnership with franchisees in the German city of Ulm and in Wallisellen, a town outside Zurich, Switzerland. The Ulm shop is the 12th of its type in Germany, the Swiss one the first abroad (except for Asia). The selling surface of 220 square meters opposite to a shopping center in Wallisellen is run by Spatz Camping & Outdoor Equipment, a long-time customer of Vaude's who is both a retailer and a manufacturer of tents. The store in Ulm has a selling surface of 260 square meters and is operated by Reischmann, a retailer which owns a couple of sporting goods and fashion stores in the region between Ulm and Lake Constance, where Reischmann already has three Vaude-branded stores.
