Maier Sports, the German snow sports and outdoor apparel brand that is part of the Schwan-Stabilo group that also owns Deuter and Ortovox, has decided to expand the period of pre-orders by three additional weeks until mid-September. Maier Sports wants to support its retailers with making up for lost sales during the corona lockdown and provide for more sales security. Many retailers hope that the forecasted trend of outdoor holidays this summer will increase their sales. Maier Sports’ 2021 spring/summer collection will be delivered in mid-March in order to bring the seasonal rhythms closer the annual rhythms. Like Ortovox, Maier Sports will also increase the number of carry-overs.
