Montbell, the Japanese producer of outdoor apparel and accessories, opened 5 new mono-brand stores in Japan this spring. The brand boasts 75 stores in Japan, one in Colorado and another one in Switzerland. All stores are owned and managed by Montbell directly. Three Montbell mono-brand stores were destroyed by the tsunami in 2011. As of May 2012, Montbell donated over €440,000 to victims of the disaster. I also expanded its line of emergency products. The company is looking for European distributors at the OutDoor fair.
