Mountain Warehouse, one of the major outdoor retailers in the U.K., is launching a new chain of stores, called Zakti, that will cover gym, yoga, running, cycling, snow sports, dance and swimming, according to Retail Week. Competing against Sweaty Betty, it will initially target women. Zakti is opening two stores in the Islington and Chiswick districts of London. It already has a web store at zaktiactive.com. An international development of the chain is reportedly on the cards.
