Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), the Swedish company with department stores in Gothenburg and Stockholm founded in 1902, has opened an NK Sport department on the third floor of its main store in Stockholm. The multi-brand department covers more than 1,500 square meters on the men's fashion floor on the third floor. Marc Nylander, who is running the project, has said that he wants to show progressive sports and outdoor brands in a new way, as he thinks that there is no premium destination for sports products in Sweden. There is a wide range of brands covering the yoga, running, training, cycling and outdoor category. They include Patagonia, Houdini, The North Face, Haglöfs, Arc'teryx, Icebug, Reebok, Salomon, Lundhags and Under Armour. The NK department store in Stockholm boasts around 12 million visitors annually.
