Outdoor and Cycle Concepts, the AS Adventure Group's business in the British market, confirmed in October that it intends to close three Cycle Surgery stores in the U.K. and to replace another three stores with other banners in OCC, which comprises Cotswold Outdoor, Snow & Rock and Runners Need. The current proposal is that stores on London's Strype Street, at Southwark Bridge and the Lee Valley Velopark will close. Cotswold Outdoor is to take up the trading space in Tunbridge Wells, which was previously co-branded. The Cycle Surgery store in the Wirral will be replaced by an expanded offering from Runners Need and Snow & Rock, who already have retail space at this location. Another Cycle Surgery in Moorgate will be replaced by Snow & Rock, while Runners Need will continue to trade from this store. OCC said that the changes are to help Cycle Surgery strengthen its business and improve on its customer proposition, both online and in stores.
