The board of directors of the European Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (Fesi) has unanimously elected Luca Businaro as its new president until October 2016, taking the place of Bruno Alves who has left Nike to join the European Commission in Brussels. Businaro was recently re-elected as president of Assosport, the Italian sporting goods industry association, which he has been heading up since 2010. He runs Novation, an Italian producer of high-tech soles and other plastic products which recently sold Kayland to MGM Trezeta. He was already a vice president of Fesi and its treasurer. There will be no other changes in the board or the management of Fesi or in its strategic plan.
