Timbuk2 opened on Oct. 31 its first store outside the U.S. in Singapore through Primer-Uniglobe Singapore, a member of the Primer Group of companies. The store is also the first one to offer an “in-store customization experience” for its products outside the U.S., and the company says this is the first step in offering this service in cities across Asia. Located at Bungis Junction in Singapore, the 280-square-foot store presents 75 percent of Timbuk2's bags and accessories and features an interactive station where customers can customize a bag or accessory and order it from the company's factory in San Francisco for delivery in about two weeks' time. Timbuk2 already offers this customization service at its two American stores in San Francisco and Seattle.
