Toptrail, a specialty store in Madrid specializing in running, trail running, cycling and triathlon, went into liquidation this past August in view of its shutdown. It had been launched by three mountaineering enthusiasts three years ago. As noted by CMD Sport, several other stores in these segments have gone under in Madrid in the last few months, including the Triatlon Stored, Iron Sport and Kabrasport. Competition from the internet and the brands' own stores have been blamed for these closures.
