Vaude has announced a partnership with eBay in Germany to operate an online shop for used outdoor products. This latest initiative of the brand is part of its general corporate mission to become Europe's most sustainable mountain sports company within the current year. Echoing a similar initiative undertaking by Patagonia, the message is: The best contribution to the environment is not just using most sustainable materials, but for the consumers to keep the goods in use as long as possible. If the customer no longer needs a product, resell it rather than throwing it away. As of March 13, more than 300 used Vaude products have been offered on the www.ebay.de/vaude website, which is also called the “Vaude-Second-Use-Shop.”
