Some 500 Patagonia employees have joined a movement in Chile to protest new dam projects in the south of the country that are endangering valuable natural parks there. Apparently, the Chilean government allowed a multinational company to build five dams in Patagonia (the region, not the brand). The Patagonia staff arrived in Chile armed with pans, casserole pots and other cutlery to make the most possible noise and to prove solidarity with the 30,000-40,000 Chileans who stood up against those projects.
