The German buying groups are happy with the development of their outdoor sales. Sport 2000’s outdoor sales were up by 18 percent in 2009, after an increase of 17 percent in the previous year. The group’s projection for 2010 is a 15 percent rise. Intersport gave even more precise numbers for the sales of its affiliated members at retail prices: In 2009, outdoor reached a turnover of roughly €500 million, representing 19 percent of the group’s total sales. Compared with 2007, this meant a jump of €140 million compared with two years later.
