Thule Group has entered into an agreement with Curt Group, a company of Audax Private Equity, for the sale of United Welding Services (UWS), a maker of storage solutions and truck accessories headquartered in Perry, Florida. The transaction is expected to be finalized this month. The move is part of Thule's plan to focus further on its core business within the outdoor & bags business segment. The divested business includes 166 employees and the production facility in Perry, where most of the employees work.
