A newly-created “Tech Zone” at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah on Aug. 6-9 will display smartphone accessories from more than a dozen companies. The new area, located in the center of the Technology Pavilion Tent 3, in booth PV3143, will provide outdoor retailers with new product ideas for customers who wish to integrate smartphones into their outdoor pursuits. Exhibitors in the new Tech Zone will include companies making items as varied as Bluetooth speakers, protective and waterproof cases, action cams, headphones, and solar chargers. The Tech Zone is organized by Larry Locks, an outdoor industry veteran and chief executive of Summit Distribution and Adventure 16 Wholesale, which is also sponsoring the new area. Companies in the Tech Zone will include Boom Movement speakers and headphones, Element Case, Loksak waterproof cases, mophie chargers, Sony Action Cam, Thule cases, Olloclip lenses, Pong cases, PureGear cases, Secur emergency tools, StrongVolt Solar chargers, X-1 headphones and cases, and zNitro screen protection.
