Grassroots Connect, the twice-annual American retail buying show of the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, is moving its autumn event to the Kansas City Convention Center beginning in November 2020. This decision was announced after Outdoor Retailer (OR) canceled its November trade show in Denver. OR's departure also eliminated future Grassroots Connect contracts in Denver, as the buying show was operating as a co-locating sub-tenant of OR. Grassroots Outdoor Alliance expects the Connect show to grow significantly in the future thanks to rising interest from specialty retailers, a large portion of whose travel costs the show covers. The Kansas City Convention Center includes 388,800 square feet of column-free exhibit space, in addition to more than 500,000 square feet of associated facilities.
