The Outdoor Retailer Winter Market has modified its dates for 2017 and reduced the event by one day. Emerald Expositions, the organizers, said the trade show will be pulled into the mid-week and will now last only three days instead of four. The 2017 edition will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 10, and wrap up on Thursday, Jan. 12. The show had previously been scheduled for Jan. 7-10. Many retailers had pointed to significant drops in booth traffic on Saturday and Sunday of the last edition. The shift also pulls the trade show out of a date conflict with the big Consumer Electronics Show show, which will take place in Las Vegas on Jan. 5-8, 2017. The dates for this year's Outdoor Retailer Summer Market remain unchanged, on Aug. 3-6, with the Open Air Demo day on Aug. 2.
