According to Sports Insight, a British publication, VF Corporation plans to discontinue the distribution in Europe of Jansport, its technical brand of backpacks, after the spring/summer 2013 season. Instead, the group wants to put its focus on its more lifestyle-oriented Eastpak brand. VF will redeploy more efforts on Jansport in the Americas and in Asia where it already has a strong position. Currently, Jansport is distributed in Europe either through VF's own operations or through distributors. The company is committed to the fulfillment of next year's spring/summer deliveries.
