Warren B. Kanders, the executive chairman of Black Diamond Inc., has acquired Mountain Khakis from Remington Arms Company, the majority owner, and the other owners. The purchase was made through an affiliate of Kanders & Company, of which Kanders is the owner and president. Founded in 2003, Mountain Khakis is a mountain-inspired lifestyle-apparel brand with the corporate office and eastern distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina, while its design and product development is based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the company was founded. Kanders is also as the chairman and chief executive of Safariland. Following the transaction, whose financial details were not disclosed, he will now join as the chairman of Mountain Khakis, while Ross Saldarini, who co-founded the company, will continue to serve in the role of president.
