Tennessee-based MacNeill Pride Group, a portfolio company of middle-market private equity firm Centre Partners from New York and a manufacturer of outdoor products and sporting goods under the ORCA, PrideSports, Champ, Pride Golf Tee and Professional Tee System brands, has acquired Connecticut-based GCI Outdoor (GCI). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 1996, GCI’s product line includes portable camping chairs, camping kitchens, chairs and lounge chairs for the water and other outdoor equipment. GCI, known for its folding rocking chairs, holds U.S. patents for its designs and will continue to operate from its plant in Higganum, CT.
