686 Technical Apparel has teamed up with Nikwax, the maker of water-proofing and cleaning products for outdoor gear and footwear, to provide a “100% washable” outerwear. All the 686 technical outerwear made with infiDry fabric in 686's winter 2015/16 collection will come with a free sachet containing two washes worth of Nikwax Tech Wash. The initiative is supposed to help consumers extend the life of their 686 performance gear. Nikwax is an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified company. Its aftercare line is said to have never used aerosols or fluorocarbons.
