Didriksons, the 101-year-old Swedish brand of rain and outerwear, presented its approach to sustainable products at the OutDoor show. For the first time, Didriksons' entire collection was made without any perfluorinated outer material impregnation (PFE). Taking into consideration that PFEs are not biodegradable and may cause health issues, the Swedish company has decided not to use such substances any longer. Instead, Didriksons has found new ways to avoid the use of PFE and to advise on how to reactivate water repellency after the use of the garment. This can be managed by applying low dry heat in the washing process or an iron set on low.
