Downlite, the Ohio-based down and feather processor and supplier of performance fills, is the first company to earn the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certificate in China, which is the largest down supplier in the world. RDS was developed by The North Face in partnership with Control Union, a global certification body, and Textile Exchange. RDS certification traces the entire down supply chain, from farm to control standards, to guarantee businesses that the down in their products comes from ethically treated geese. Downlite said RDS certification audits for its European supply chain are underway and certification is expected shortly thereafter. Downlite is a bluesign system partner and a member of the American Down & Feather Council (ADFC).
