HeiQ has upgraded its family of odor control technologies with some more sustainable options, including silver-free and recycled silver salt options. The HeiQ Fresh FFL is a bio-based amino sugar polymer that is said to be silver-free and not an anti-microbial. According to the company, the HeiQ Fresh FFL removes the fat and protein from sweat, thereby eliminating the ability of the bacteria to grow. Furthermore, this amino sugar polymer binds to the fiber, which allows odor to be washed off also at low temperatures, the company said. HeiQ is also presenting the HeiQ Pure SPQR, a 90 percent bio-based option for odor control that is said to work with a minimal amount of recycled silver. Similarly to the HeiQ Fresh FFL, the HeiQ Pure SPQR removes two of the five precursors that cause sweat odor – fat and protein from sweat as well as bacteria. HeiQ will be present at Ispo Munich, on Feb. 3-6, and at Outdoor Retailer Snow Show, from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.
