Hydro Flask, the American brand of insulated containers, made a number of pledges to donate reusable, stainless-steel products during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, which took place on June 18-20 in Denver. The initiatives were in support of the Plastic Impact Alliance, a consortium of about 200 outdoor brands aiming to eliminate single-use plastics from the trade show. Hydro Flask brought along 1,992 hydration and drinkware products – with a retail value of about $53,564 – for the Plastic Impact Alliance initiatives, including nonprofit donations, giveaways and brand activations. Attendees receiving bottles and cups could get refills at Hydro Flask's Hydration Bar. About 1,000 True Pints were set aside for the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Conservation Alliance, about 500 True Pints for a happy hour at the Hydro Flask booth for the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, about 120 bottles for other Alliance-sponsored events and about 360 bottles for attendees who signed a Plastic Impact Promise at the Hydro Flask booth.
