La Sportiva has received the RadicalGreen prize, a national award honoring Italian companies that work to develop sustainable products and processes. Trento, where La Sportiva is based, each year hosts the Green Week, an event under the patronage of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with the European Commission. At this year's edition, its third, which took place on March 13-18, La Sportiva received the award during an event on the theme of “The Green Economy and the Recovery of the Nation,” in the presence of Italy's Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni. La Sportiva was one in five companies in Italy's sustainable industry to receive the award. La Sportiva, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, is still 100 percent owned by the Delladio family. The company was founded by Narciso Delladio in 1928.
