Lenzing has signed a cooperation agreement with Södra, an international forest industry group owned by more than 53,000 forest owners, to address the issue of textile waste. The cooperation involves the transfer of knowledge between the two companies and an expansion of the capacities for the production of cellulose from post-consumer waste. The goal is to process 25,000 tons of textile waste per year by 2025. Södra is headquartered in Växjö, Sweden.
