Nike and Patagonia have been honored at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland for their efforts in reducing waste in their products and operations. The two companies were the joint winners of the Accenture Strategy Award for Circular Economy Multinational. The award is one of the seven given out as part of The Circulars, an annual program of awards organized by Accenture Strategy and the World Economic Forum's Community of Young Global Leaders. The Circulars recognize individuals and organizations from business and civil society globally that have made significant contributions to the circular economy across the private or public sector and society. This year's winners were chosen among more than 230 applicants from 37 countries.
