Ortlieb has been named an “Eoca Conservation Champion 2017” by the European Outdoor Conservation Association (Eoca) in connection with the company's support of the German Europarc. Ortlieb nominated Europarc Germany for the Eoca charity list. The company has committed to a special project within the German Europarc for the sustainable improvement of the German river system, for which it also provided financial support. The project will be realized in the autumn, and will involve a major cleaning of the Mulde river as well as the collection of scientific data in the Mittelelbe biosphere reserve.
