Patagonia is launching a mail-in option for its Worn Wear sustainability program in the U.S. Customers will have the opportunity to mail-in used Patagonia clothing, in exchange for credit to buy items in the brand's retail stores. The initiative is intended to make sustainable practices more accessible to customers and further reduce the amount of clothing that ends up in landfills. Items can be posted using a pre-paid label. Up to now, customers were required to bring used clothing to Patagonia stores in order to participate in the program and get a credit voucher. This program will not be available in Europe, where Patagonia is still offering free repairs for its products based on an Ironclad Guarantee. The company is also conducting Worn Wear tours in Europe, as it did last summer for its wetsuits in the U.K. and France.
