PrimaLoft has been confirmed as the largest global provider of Bluesign certified insulation. The Latham, New York-based company, specializing in research and innovative development of comfort solutions with high performance insulations and fabrics, was the first branded synthetic insulation manufacturer to obtain bluesign certification for its high-performance insulations, in December 2010. The company now offers 16 different bluesign certified PrimaLoft insulations. Besides the U.S., PrimaLoft has offices in Germany, Italy and China. The bluesign system evaluates all aspects of sourcing and manufacturing, from raw materials and chemical components to the consumption of natural resource consumption and labor conditions, and is one of the most renowned environmental certifications in the world. In addition to its partnership with the bluesign system, PrimaLoft is active in sustainable textile production through partnerships with the International Oeko-Tex Association and the Sustainable Apparel Coalition's Higg Index.
