Ternua has included Gore Tex 2 Layer membrane with PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) treatment in its autumn-winter 2018/19 collection. Ternua has been working since 2009 to eliminate perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) from its water repellent treatments. The Spanish brand said it will unveil the PFC-free clothing collection this year. Ternua claims that 94 percent of its products for the next cold season are manufactured with or use Bluesign-certified fabrics, GOTS-certified (Global Organic Textile Standard) 100 percent organic cotton, recycled fabrics and natural biodegradable fabrics, while 45 percent of its garments are made with recycled fabrics. Ternua is part of the European Outdoor Group, and is also a member of the board of the European Outdoor Conservation Association (Eoca).
