Ternua's project “For a Plastic-Free Sea,” proposed by the Spanish brand together with Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), was the most voted for in the category Nature among those submitted to the European Outdoor Conservation Association (Eoca) back in October. Thanks to Eoca's award, the project received an aid of €30,000, which was to be used for the removal of plastic garbage from U.K. beaches. The mission conducted this spring, which involved nearly 35,500 volunteers, has enabled the collection of 63 tons of abandoned plastics from 571 beaches in the U.K, of which 27 percent were recyclable plastics.
