The Oeko-Tex Association has presented its first sustainability awards to companies in the textile industry. They were granted to five companies in five different categories. In particular, YKK got the award for quality management and Lenzing got it for product innovation. Other recipients were Sun Hing Industries Holding of Hong Kong, Mattes & Ammann of Germany and Veramtex of Belgium. A special prize for sustainable efforts went to Century Rayon, an Indian manufacturer specializing in the production and processing of rayon fibers.
