The Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) of the U.S. is adding a new sustainability section to its website. By providing online resources on sustainability across the supply chain, the new section is meant to help OIA members and outdoor industry companies in their pursuit of increasingly sustainable practices in their businesses. The section provides access to the tools and resources developed by the OIA Sustainability Working Group (SWG), which has been addressing supply chain issues for more than a decade. The SWG held its latest meeting during the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show in Denver, at the end of January. The meeting attracted more than 175 SWG members, a number which is regarded by the organization as a sign of the growing engagement of the industry in sustainable supply chain management.
