Vaude has been honored with the GreenTec Award 2018 in the category “Sports by Jack Wolfskin” for its new sustainable Green Shape Core Collection. The award was presented at a ceremony at the International Congress Center in Munich on May 13, in the presence of more than 1,000 guests from the world of business, science and politics. The event marked the start of IFAT, a trade fair for environmental technologies. Furthermore, Vaude has obtained top marks at this year's Brand Performance Check by the Fair Wear Foundation, with an audit rate of 100 percent and a benchmark score of 94 percent. In its final report, the Fair Wear Foundation noted that Vaude had made major advances in the monitoring of action plans to improve social standards, in the handling of workers' complaints, and in training managers at production plants to raise their awareness and competence in these areas. Vaude has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation since 2010. Headquartered in Amsterdam, the foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that works to improve conditions for workers in garment factories.
