Vaude's Green Shape Core Collection, a selection of sustainable gear, is the heart of Vaude's broader Green Shape Collection for winter 2018/19. The Green Shape Core Collection comprises 19 multi-use sustainable products designed for outdoor activities, including apparel, shoes and backpacks. About 90 percent of the materials used to make the products in the Core Collection are biobased, recycled or purely natural materials, Vaude explains. The products are also the result of environmentally friendly manufacturing and fair working conditions, says Vaude. The Green Shape Core Collection uses Tencel - a fiber entirely made from a renewable resource, wood cellulose - in the lining of the fleece jackets and pants as well as in its reversible vests. Unconventional raw materials such as unmarketable cow's milk, castor oil and wood are also used. The range is to be displayed this month at the Ethical Fashion Show in Berlin as well as the Ispo fair in Munich, for a launch in August.
