YKK, the big zip manufacturer, is launching a zipper product made from PET bottles, old fiber and other polyester remnants, according to the company. The product, called Natulon, was on display at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, on June 18-20. YKK explained that 10,000 Natulon zippers of 60cm length use around 3,600 recycled plastic bottles. The product is bluesign certified. YKK also produces the GreenRise zipper, made from plant-based materials, alongside eco-friendly snaps and buttons.
