After 35 years with Vaude, many of them directing the purchase and import department, Hubertus von Dewitz retired at the turn of the year. He is the brother of Albrecht von Dewitz, the company's founder, and uncle of Antje von Dewitz, the current managing director. When Vaude first started up, Albrecht von Dewitz asked his brother to help him out at a trade show. This little favor turned into 35 years of being with the company.
