Merrell has appointed Alex Brown as its new vice-president of U.S. sales. He joins Merrell from The North Face (TNF), a division of VF Corp., where he most recently served as senior sales director for the brand. Brown has spent his entire career in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry. Prior to TNF, he founded his own sales and marketing agency. He also previously held senior sales roles at Pearl Izumi and Playmakers, a specialty retailer for running equipment. In his new role at Merrell, he will report directly to Chris Hufnagel, Merrell’s global brand president.
