The American bicycle apparel brand Velocio announced two new hires to drive European growth. Friederike “Ricky” Buckenlei has assumed the newly created role of head of Europe, overseeing all elements of the brand’s European strategy. The position builds on her managerial experience and her previous work with brands such as Rapha, SRAM, Black Diamond and Gore.

Velocio was founded in 2014 with a focus on design, responsibility and culture. Although it launched with the sponsorship of the German-registered professional female racing team Velocio SRAM, Europe is not yet very well developed.

As additional European support, Line Gulliksen has been appointed as regional marketing coordinator. The professional cyclist and former Velocio ambassador now focuses on retail support, event management, ambassador management and content from her Norwegian and Scandinavian homeland.
