Kenji Haroutunian, who recently stepped down as a vice president of Emerald Expositions after 15 years as director for its Outdoor Retailer show, has announced he has established KenjiConsults, a consulting business serving the industry. Haroutunian has been in the outdoor industry for nearly 30 years. In addition to leading the execution of both the summer and winter market Outdoor Retailer shows, Haroutunian also spent years on the Choose Outdoors board as longtime president of Friends Of Joshua Tree. His years of service include 14 years with Adventure 16 and work for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School. The new agency will offer solutions for brands and organizations operating in the outdoor recreation market, including segment analyses and forecasting, executive summaries as well as diversity action plans, custom event solutions and support in the outdoor sector.
