The board of the European Outdoor Group approved the appointment of a new secretary general on the eve of the European Outdoor Summit in Malmö last month. The person's name is not being made public yet. He or she will become operational at the beginning of next year, replacing Mark Held, who will assist the transition for at least one year. Meanwhile, Pamela Ravasio is leaving the EOG, where she has been in charge of CSR and sustainability since 2014. She will be succeeded by Katy Stevens, a doctor in textile chemistry who has been working with Ravasio for the past couple of years. Stevens will be aided by a doctor in textiles and performance clothing, Jane Turnbull, who has spent 15 years in a variety of roles for brands, retailers and media in the outdoor industry.
