The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has appointed a new head of marketing and business development, Arne Strate. It is a new position, but his appointment to the executive team follows the departure of the EOG's former marketing and communication manager, Mathias Basedow, who is now running Icebug's new office in Munich (see the related news brief in the Distribution section). Strate worked previously for Volcom, where he took care of marketing for the brand in Germany and Austria for ten years. He also handled marketing for Reef. After 12 years in operation, the EOG has 79 full members and ten associate members.
