As the global battle against Covid-19 continues, many outdoor companies are also looking for ways to contribute, including The North Face (TNF). Through the Explore Fund - TNF’s platform for supporting social and community projects - the brand is providing €1 million to support outdoor communities across Europe. To ensure that the funds end up where the need is greatest, the brand is working closely with national and local authorities both during and after the Corona crisis. TNF started the Explore Fund in 2010 to remove barriers so everyone can get outside and protect wild places. The fund is working with programs like Walls Are Meant for Climbing, Moves Mountains, Move Mountains Filmmakers Grants, and The Conservation Alliance, and collaborates with organizations like Camber Outdoors and others.

In addition, TNF will donate all TV advertising time in Europe in April to enable health initiatives and organizations to spread their messages and public announcements for free.

“We feel a responsibility to help,” said Arne Arens, global brand president of The North Face. “These are challenging times for us all. Perhaps the greatest challenge is for those who risk their lives every day in the fight against Covid-19. We are proud to be able to use our resources to support the people who are now taking the biggest risk.”
